A new requirement for road races: the UCI is demanding a straightaway of at least 200m for the finish line.

applicable from July 1st, the UCI announces a significant change. "The finishing straight must be as long as possible, at least 200 meters," it now stipulates. "This is particularly important for races likely to end in a mass sprint."

LA28 Shares New Details on Olympic and Paralympic Games Plan (Road Race and Time Trial Start/Finish Locations)

Key things to note here: The road races will start at Venice Beach as previously announced, the time trials will start at the Los Angeles Zoo in Griffith Park, and all will finish at the Griffith Park Observatory, which should mean an uphill finish. The full routes will be published by the end of this year!

Giro d’Italia Donne: WSRFL and Grand Tour Predictions.

The Giro d’Italia Donne has come to an end, and with it another exciting round of the Fantasy Games. Clever outsider picks paid off, and the standings saw some major shake-ups.

WSRFL

Elisa Longo Borghini was the clear crowd favorite heading into the race. Three players put their faith in the Italian, but a fourth-place finish wasn't enough for a big haul. The points had to be split, leaving each participant with 83.3 points.

The standout performance came from u/Yellow52. As the only player to pick Isabella Holmgren, the gamble paid off in spectacular fashion. The young Canadian's seventh-place finish earned a massive 300 points and secured the round victory.

Second place went to u/iamczecksy. The pick of Urska Zigart also proved to be a masterstroke, with her eighth-place finish bringing in 275 points.

Third place was shared by u/Team_Telekom and Avila99. Both backed Demi Vollering and were rewarded as the Dutch star rode to the overall victory.

As if a podium finish wasn't enough, Team_Telekom's strong performance also moved them into first place in the overall WSRFL standings.

Grand Tour Predictions

There was plenty to celebrate in the Grand Tour Predictions as well. Burden321 and Team_Telekom shared the win after matching each other with the highest score of the round.

With the first three Grand Tours now completed, the overall standings are starting to take shape. andytheciderman currently leads the competition, but with plenty of racing still to come, the battle for the overall title is far from over.

The Giro d’Italia Donne once again showed that in the Fantasy Games, the biggest favorites aren't always the key to success. Sometimes, all it takes is one unique pick to leave the competition behind.

RCS: Internal reorganization begins with the spin-off of RCS Sports & Events

My opinion:
Maybe ASO will be interested in buying the giro off RCS by buying RCS Sport, just like they bought la Vuelta a few years ago.

Mikkel Honoré in serious crash: Team now makes statement

The Danish cyclist Mikkel Honoré was involved in a truly horrifying crash on Saturday.

Now EF team's sporting director, Ken Vanmarcke, has an overview of the injuries, and it is a grim message he has received.

He describes the injuries as serious to the Dutch media outlet WielerFlits:

"He crashed very violently and is still in the intensive care unit at the hospital the day after. Mikkel is stable, but he has broken seven ribs, three vertebrae and his collarbone. He has also suffered a punctured lung. It is a serious injury, and it will be a long rehabilitation."
